Wie ik ben
I’m Iris De Rijcker, a digital transformation specialist with a strong background in education.
I help small organisations and non-profits bring clarity to their digital processes — and I support people in working with everyday tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint or collaborative platforms with confidence rather than hesitation.
I work at the intersection of technology, communication and human behaviour — designing calm, practical solutions that make digital work simpler, not heavier.
My approach is always the same: listen first, then build thoughtfully.
Clarity and calm in digital processes
I’ve always been drawn to complexity — not because I enjoy it, but because I enjoy making it lighter.
Over the years, I’ve worked with educators, administrators and creative teams who felt overwhelmed by digital tools that were meant to help them. What I noticed again and again is that the problem is rarely the people — it’s the way systems are designed and introduced.
I work best when I can slow things down first. I listen to how work actually happens, where frustration builds up, and what really matters to the people involved. From there, I help create structures and automations that feel supportive rather than intrusive.
I care deeply about independence and understanding. If I build something for you, you’ll also learn how it works — not because you have to, but because it gives you confidence and control.
IrisWorks – Digital grew out of that belief: that technology should serve people quietly, respectfully, and with intention.
Confidence in digital tools
Alongside my work in digital transformation, I’ve spent many years teaching and supporting people in learning to work with digital tools. That experience has shaped everything I do today.
I’ve seen how easily uncertainty or fear can grow around technology — especially when tools change quickly, explanations are rushed, or people feel they are “supposed to know this already”. What often looks like resistance is simply a lack of confidence.
I get a lot of energy from helping people move past that point. From slowing things down, explaining things clearly, and showing that most tools are far less intimidating once you understand what they’re actually for. Watching someone go from hesitation to “oh — I can do this” never gets old for me.
That’s why training is such a natural part of my work. Whether it’s a standalone session on tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Airtable, or training linked to a system I’ve helped design, my goal is always the same: helping people feel capable, independent and at ease.
IrisWorks – Digital exists to support that shift — from digital overwhelm to calm understanding, from uncertainty to confidence, and from complex systems to tools that quietly do their job.
